Monogenea, ursprüngliche Arten umfassende Unterklasse der Trematoda; Ektoparasiten von Fischen und Amphibien; zeigen i.A. weder Wirts- noch Generationswechsel. Larven und Adultstadien haben als Haftorgane Haken. Polystoma in der Harnblase von Fröschen; Gyrodactylus an der Haut von Karpfen.
