Amine
Amine, organische Verbindungen, in denen ein, zwei oder drei H-Atome des Ammoniaks (NH3) durch Kohlenwasserstoffreste ersetzt sind. Die Unterscheidung in primäre, sekundäre und tertiäre A. erfolgt nach der Anzahl der substituierten H-Atome. In Organismen treten die primären biogenen A. auf, die durch Decarboxylierung von Aminosäuren entstehen und basisch reagieren. Sie haben Bedeutung z.B. als Bausteine von Coenzymen (z.B. Cysteamin aus Cystein in Coenzym A), als Gewebshormone (z.B. Histamin aus Histidin), als Bausteine von Vitaminen (z.B. Propanolamin aus Threonin in Vitamin B12). Der Abbau der biogenen A. geschieht durch Aminoxidasen.
